Since beginning my studies at Whitehouse, it's really surprised me how quickly my interest in fashion has broadened to an interest in all areas of art. The blinkers are off. After 6 weeks of intense education, I now have a greater respect for what these artists do. I could honestly google visual artists for hours. And last week I did. That was when I came across Daniele Buetti. This Swiss visual artist creates the most beautiful and mesmerizing installations. My personal favourite are his light boxes. He brings together femininity and harsh reality, in a raw juxtaposition which prompts us to reflect upon our own emotional state. Pretty AND stirring - ticks all the right boxes for me.

These are great visual images. I totally agree with you about how education in design can open your eyes up to so many wonderful designs and designers and not just in fashion. Glad to hear that you are studying at Whitehouse. I am final year fashion student there.

I hope to see you around the corridors sometime. Enjoy your studies.
