POST SECRET

On January 1st 2005, Frank Warren began a community mail art project called Post Secret. He began leaving blank postcards around America - in library books, at bus stations, coffe shops - anywhere. Individuals anonymously wrote and drew on the post cards- revealing a secret they had never spoken of before. 6 years later and Frank still receives thousands of homemade postcard secrets...and he'll soon be receiving mine.
There are no limitation as to what can fill the empty side of the postcard. Some are hilarious, some are heart-breaking, shocking and confronting - but they all prove one thing-everyone has a secret...
Each year a series of post secrets are chosen and combined to create a book. You never know - yours might end up on the cover. Frank claims that the postcards are inspirational to those who read them, have healing powers for those who write them, give hope to people who identify with a stranger's secret, and create an anonymous community of acceptance.
I just love them because it's cold hard proof that no matter how well you know someone, you will never know EXACTLY what's going on inside their head. Fascinating x
